There’s plenty to do right outside the door, with places to eat, shop, and people-watch, and the beach is just a block away. The property also has two pools, a nice dockside sitting spot, off-street parking, and a big gift shop. We stayed two nights and really liked the quaint rooms, friendly staff, and all the personality here. If you like a place with a homey feel over cookie-cutter rooms, this is a fun choice. We’ll be back.

My mother and I went into the store looking for Fort Myers sweatshirts, and left disgusted by how she was treated. She asked a man working there if she could use the fitting room. He looked to be about 50, Caucasian, around six feet tall, and round-built. He replied, “say the magic word.” When my mother asked, confused, “um, what?”, he insulted her, grabbed the clothes out of her hands, and yelled at us to leave. After about two minutes of this, we left. As we were going out, a young woman cashier called my mother a very inappropriate word, even though she hadn’t been there for the incident and didn’t know what happened. My mother is 60, and a man twice her size screamed at her for no reason. I don’t know if he was the owner, but we’ll never go back.

We spent a few days here for a beach vacation. It was clean and nice, centrally located near local restaurants, and only a few blocks from the beach. A great place to stay.

This is a simple, quaint place with its own character, and we’ve stayed here multiple times. Our favorite room is actually the simplest one. It’s easy to get to everything around the area, and my wife and I can’t wait to return. Just do your research if you’re expecting a five-star resort, lol.

All ten of us left without buying anything, and my four-year-old grandson was in tears. He’d been excited about a ball and bounced it twice. The store owner came over without warning and snatched it out of his hand. I understand watching out for merchandise, but there was nothing in the store he could have damaged with the ball. Most Fort Myers stores were already damaged and closed after Hurricane Ian, so there wasn’t much to shop at anyway. Shame on the store owner or employee. That heartless man should be ashamed, and I hope this post costs the store business. I said what I said. 💔😏
