La Quinta Inn and Suites Fort Myers I-75

The rooms and facilities are a bit dated, but the lower price reflects the savings over other nearby hotels. The staff and location suited our trip perfectly, and we were very pleased with the stay.

The room seemed clean when we walked in, but the fan overhead was unbelievably dusty. The hotel rugs were very dirty too, and the halls and elevator had a terrible cigarette-like smell. I didn’t see any pests, which was a plus. There’s a microwave and fridge in the room, and the service was amazing. The gym wasn’t useful for me, with just two treadmills and a few weights. They didn’t provide shampoo or body wash. Breakfast was okay for this kind of hotel and offered a decent variety, though most choices were sugary or carb-heavy, with little protein or healthier food. The place could use some more decor and a few fixes. It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst either.

The hotel smelled great as soon as we walked in to check in, and the rooms did too. The entire place was clean, our room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was terrific. After staying at about 16 budget hotels this past year, this had the best breakfast room and food we’d come across. The woman running it kept things clean and restocked throughout. Coffee usually disappoints at budget hotels, but here it was pretty good too.

We hesitated before booking because of the rating, but we were glad we gave it a chance. Our king room was enormous and felt like a suite, with a separate living room, sofa, armchairs, and two more tables. It was spotless throughout, and check-in couldn’t have been easier. The conference room and gym we passed in the hallway looked great as well. Breakfast was plentiful, the best by far of our eight-day Florida road trip, and the buffet area looked classy. A solid 10 points. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you!
