Rodeway Inn Fort Pierce I-95

I’m staying here now, and I’d suggest doing your own housekeeping if you book. Don’t trust that the bed has been cleaned. They apparently won’t change it if it doesn’t look used. I was booked back into the same room and found one bed hadn’t been changed. Eight hours have passed and housekeeping still hasn’t come, so I’m taking the bedding to the laundromat to make sure it gets properly washed.

I was nervous about staying here alone as a woman, especially since I’m from out of town and had an emergency. The man who checked me in was wonderful. He let me into the lobby after hours so I’d be safe, then walked me to my room. I checked carefully for the bugs mentioned in other reviews and didn’t see any. The room was clean, the carpet looked newer and was clean, and the sheets were fresh and comfortable. The pillows were fluffy too. I doubt I’ll be back in the area, but if I am, I’d stay here again.

We lasted an hour before deciding to leave. The hotel is beside a truck stop, and trucks kept Jake braking and pulling out all night, so a good night’s sleep wasn’t happening. My wife spotted a small roach in the bathroom as soon as we entered. I know it’s Florida, but it was the first thing we saw. The AC was loud once I got it working. I let Choice select this as an alternative, but if I were Choice, I wouldn’t put my name on it. Tradition is 15 minutes down the road and much better. Give that place a try.

During our four-night stay, housekeeping wouldn’t clean the room because they were afraid of animals. The place is supposed to welcome pets, yet we couldn’t get our deposit back because they hadn’t come in to clean and there was some dog hair on the rug. It’s a filthy motel beside a truck stop and an adult store, with some scary things going on. Don’t waste your money here.
