The place feels homey and quiet, and it’s in a great location. My bedroom and bathroom were huge, and the bed was so comfortable. Even though my trip was short, I really enjoyed staying at the Mellon Patch Inn. Michelle, the owner, went out of her way to make me feel welcome and accommodate my needs. I don’t usually write reviews, but I’d highly recommend it and hope I can return. Thank you, Michelle!
Thanksgiving at The Mellon Patch has become a tradition we love, with limited holiday seating. Chris roasts and fries two turkeys to perfection, with all the trimmings, and the desserts are worth saving room for. He’s a spectacular chef, and the dishes are memorable enough to have us coming back for seconds and thirds. The inn itself feels both like home and a getaway, tucked between two gorgeous bodies of water just a stone’s throw apart. The island is paradise. Chris and Michelle are warm, charming, hospitable people who make you feel like family, and leaving them almost hurts, in a good way. The people, food, stay, beauty, and relaxation all make it an unforgettable experience. Cheers!
The breakfasts are made fresh, and there’s something different each day if you stay several days. Chris and Michelle are fantastic hosts who make the place feel like home as soon as you walk in. It’s quiet, in a great spot, and within walking distance of the beachfront. I’d highly recommend staying here when you’re in town. Book ahead, though, because they fill up fast.
The rooms were clean and newly renovated, and the food was some of the best I’ve ever tried. It’s two minutes from the beach and ten minutes from drinks at the pier, with a beautiful view and great stargazing right there at night. Chris and his family welcomed us into their beautiful home and let us stay there. He’s a kind-hearted man, and everyone running this lovely family business was so kind. I adore this bed and breakfast and recommend it to anyone passing through Fort Pierce. You won’t regret it. The photo below was taken at night near Christmas. Their home is beautiful and decorated so nicely.
We stayed in the paradise suite for our first visit, and we’ll definitely be back. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the decor beautiful, everything super clean, and the bathtub was awesome. We could use the backyard, with a pool and plenty of room for our little puppy to run. There’s a lovely view from the pool and a dock on the waterway for canoeing and paddleboarding. A beautiful beach is just across the street. Breakfast was incredible, and Chris is an amazing cook. His little girl Cady was such a cute hostess. The whole place feels peaceful and has great energy. We fell in love with it and recommend it over any chain hotel. Thank you, Chris, Cady, and The Mellon Patch family, for a special weekend and such warm hospitality! ❤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
