Azure Sky Motel

At check-in, I was told the only room left had two beds, then asked to use just one so it would make the clerk’s life easier. I didn’t feel safe in the area.

For the price, this place is hard to beat. The woman at the front desk was really friendly, and I thought she was beautiful too. Definitely recommend it.

I love animals, but I don’t think this dog should be around people it doesn’t know, especially children. The owner has a small white dog that barks at everyone and acted aggressively toward me. It got out of its collar and came at me while I stood still as the owner tried to catch it. The dog bit me, leaving a puncture wound with a little bleeding and an immediate bruise. It hurt quite a bit for a small dog, though I didn’t need to see a doctor. The owner said it doesn’t bite and acted as if it couldn’t have done anything wrong. She’d been very nice before that happened. I filed a police report because she wouldn’t believe the dog had bitten me.

We stayed in an efficiency room. It had a big refrigerator and TV, though no microwave. The room was clean, with older fixtures and paint. This is a budget-friendly motel with a classic 1960s layout, so you can park right outside each room. Some reviewers seem unfair to me. If you want Hilton-level service, you’ll need to pay about three times as much at that kind of hotel. As RVers, we appreciated having a stationary room with more than five square feet of space, for less than some KOAs.
