Woodspring Suites Dayton North

I loved watching my daughter perform with OPUS at her first World Championship winterguard in Dayton, Ohio, but WoodSprings made the trip far more difficult than it needed to be. The suites were in a convenient location for coming and going. Then, on our third day, the water stopped. We couldn’t flush toilets or shower, and had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. We went to nearby gas stations to use the bathrooms. Nobody seemed to know what was happening, and there was no communication or plan from staff. Whenever we asked, we were told it was being worked on and they couldn’t say when service would return. For three or four days, we never knew whether there’d be water. When it finally came back at half pressure, at least the toilets worked. There was no outdoor furniture for family time or a cookout. A picnic table was broken and left between the dumpsters. The room had no silverware, pots, or even a broom. We were charged $10 each time for extra linen, and also charged for towels and face cloths. We were supposed to use the laundry room and pay for that too, but couldn’t do laundry while the water was out. We had to buy underwear and socks, and reuse towels for seven days or pay extra. I also don’t understand the policy of only cleaning rooms once a week. I asked the front desk to clean ours and was told rooms are cleaned once a week. When I asked what day, since I’d checked in Tuesday, she stared at me and said, “Tuesday when you check out.” So we’re meant to keep a dirty room? I guess you buy everything you need and leave it behind. I was also charged for extra linen. Management offered no help or alternative accommodation. A sister suite or hotel should have been offered. This place has everything and nothing at all. I’m so disappointed, and the trouble was not worth it. WoodSprings is not somewhere I’d stay for any amount of time. Do better. I’ll be calling management.

March 2026. Quiet, great value, and the cleanest Wood Springs I’ve stayed at. I was here for a week, and they accommodated my request for a first-floor room and for a late checkout, though I ended up not needing the extra time. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Don’t book here. We went three out of seven days without water, got no communication, and were still charged for extra towels. We would have gone elsewhere if we could, but had to plan each day around having no water. They acted as if three days without it were normal or okay. Terrible, don’t waste your money. To the few good employees who care about customer service, find a place that values you.

I’ve stayed at WoodSpring Suites Dayton North for several months, and it’s been a comfortable, convenient choice for a long stay. The rates are affordable and good value for the area. The location also works well, close to major highways as well as different places to eat and shop. The rooms are clean and have a kitchenette with the basics you need for a longer stay. Maurice, Tony, John, Cheryl, Brenda, and Destiny are consistently friendly and accommodating, and make every interaction pleasant. I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a reliable, budget-friendly extended stay in Dayton.
