The staff were superb. Our first room had a smell we weren't comfortable with, but they quickly switched us to another available room, and that one was wonderful. We got a breakfast voucher, and the meal was very good. The coffee was all right, though I'm a bit of a coffee snob. We cooked a couple meals on their propane grill, and staff provided the tools. We also enjoyed the firepit most nights and had great fellowship with people there for the same event. The TV was fine until the Pluto app stopped working. Standard channels have so many commercials, but that's not the hotel's fault, and I don't know why the app quit. A few things could be improved: an outlet was exposed by the firepit, the exterior metal gates wouldn't open with a guest room key though maintenance could get in with a master key, and on Saturday night they locked two of the three doors back into the lobby area around 11 pm while a crowd was at the firepit. We had been out later the night before.

It was just okay. The lobby was very clean and the beds were okay, but the shower in room 333 didn't drain right, so water pooled around our ankles. The bathroom sink had drainage problems too. It was disappointing that breakfast wasn't included for free.

While waiting in the lobby for the rest of my party before departure, I met Carolyn. She was busy hiding little ducks for the kids to find as part of a contest, but still took time to talk with the children in the room and explain the game to me. The downstairs lobby staff were very accommodating, and the place was clean and comfortable. Nice stay and exceptional service.

The front desk and room service were good, and the hotel is close to many things downtown, including Fort Smith. It could use bathroom updates and a bit more attention to cleaning. Don't count on daily room cleaning, as they seem a little understaffed in the janitorial department right now.

I was sick throughout my business trip, and Jennifer at the breakfast bar this morning was so sweet, thoughtful, and hospitable. She helped me feel better and made my day better than it was before we met. You can tell helping people comes naturally to her, and I'd guess she puts others before herself. Thanks again, Jennifer. She's the reason I gave every aspect of this review its stars. You make her look good, Marriott!
