Candlewood Suites Ft Stockton by IHG

I got in very late, and being woken at 9:00am by housekeeping banging on the door made the next day's long drive a lot harder. Checkout was 11, so I don't understand why they were knocking that early. When I raised it, the young woman at the front desk, possibly “Jane” or “Jaylee,” said it was my fault for not telling them I wanted my full stay and claimed it was their policy. She laughed when I asked why, then said that's just how it is. A mistake would be understandable, but this was rude. I'd stay somewhere else.

Our cat was very happy here, and the place is animal friendly. There's easy parking for a tall Sprinter, and the freeway, places to eat, and other amenities are nearby. There was lots of cabinet space over the counter, enough for the cat to get into and break some plates and glasses. The only ice maker on the property was painfully slow. The picture shows how little ice it made in five minutes, and much of that had melted by the time I got back to the room. Dicks

The bed was really comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. The room was clean and very large, and the staff at check-in were friendly and accommodating. Since the rooms have kitchens, though, the cleaning staff should check the pots. I had to wash them all because food had dried onto them. I'd stay here again.

Nice rooms, great service, and friendly staff. The hotel was very clean.
