There were very few people on the beach this far down the island, and it made for a really relaxing vacation. No one was loud at night, even the first week of April. We stayed in unit 1006, conveniently on the ground floor near the pool and beach path, with a perfect ocean view and a good assortment of cooking items. The king bed was very comfortable, and my four kids usually shared their room and adjoining bathroom happily. The building is somewhat dated, but its modest amenities are well kept, maintenance was incredible, and the grounds were very clean. Parking was plentiful, though we usually had to park on a serious hill, which was odd. The chair service was great, and the pool was very small but clean and warm, with plenty of older lounge seating.

The views were even better than the great times we had. The unit could use a little updating, but it was still a great place to stay.

The balcony view was breathtaking, and we watched dolphins playing every day and saw two sharks as well. The water was crystal clear and the beach was the whitest I’ve ever seen. It’s in a quiet area, with plenty of restaurants and shops about a mile away. Our condo was wonderful, nicely decorated, beachy, and clean when we arrived, and there were no problems with the lock code. The full kitchen and washer and dryer were a major plus. My only condo complaint was that the master bathroom had no door, so there was no privacy. Before we arrived, we called about beach services and were told someone would be there with chairs, towels, and umbrellas. That wasn’t true, though thankfully some of those things were in the condo. We were also told someone would be in the on-site office and that they had DVDs to watch, which was inaccurate too. We’re planning another visit to FWB in a few months and may rent this condo again.

Emerald Towers West was a favorite spot for us on Okaloosa Island. The condo was clean and comfortable, with an incredible Gulf view, easy beach access, and a quiet atmosphere that suited a relaxing vacation. Parking was convenient, and everything we needed was only a short drive away. We’ll be back!

We loved Unit 5003. The beach, weather, and location were all beautiful, and everything in our unit was acceptable. I’m sure the rental experience can vary depending on the owner.
