Baymont By Wyndham Fort Wayne

The staff were friendly and competent, and the room stayed quiet. It was clean, neat, and felt safe, with very little fragrance in the room, though there were scents in the common areas. The heating and AC unit kept us more than warm. The water was nice and hot, but the pressure was a bit weak.

Mandeep was very kind, and the hotel seemed nice. We were given a discount since the pool wasn’t available. The only thing that bothered me was a loud, intermittent thumping that seemed to come from next door. Sitting up in bed, I could feel it against the back of my head. Apart from that, I was very pleased with the stay.

I’ve stayed here two weekends in a row for work, since my workplace booked the rooms. It’s a decent place, and I’ll be back for another weekend. The front desk staff are nice, and the manager understood my situation and let us check in early. Rooms are clean and have a mini fridge and microwave. The TV controls are odd, but you can work them out. The accommodations are okay.

We left after one night of a two-night booking my daughter had made. The lobby and entire second floor reeked of pot, despite the no-smoking policy apparently not covering it. In the room, the fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer didn’t work, and a toilet-seat bolt was loose. We couldn’t get lids for the paper coffee cups either. The pool was out of service, with a light and its wire floating at the bottom. I’d read another review about a light in the pool four months ago, so it seems problems aren’t being addressed. The sauna was also closed. A terrible hotel experience at the Dupont location. We won’t return.
