Comfort Inn

The room is bright, and the lights by the bed can nearly light the whole space. Even the little nightlight by the sink is bright. The layout gives you a lot of room, and it was very clean. The desk unfolds into a long table, though one more rolling chair would be useful. We only stayed one night, so perhaps we could have asked for another. The front desk staff were friendly. We skipped breakfast because the Paraplegic World Cup Volleyball Teams were there, and I didn't want to get in the way of all the young people. I have two complaints. The bathroom should be bigger, since the toilet is so close to the wall that it's easy to knock down the toilet paper. Also, there are charging hubs at the desk and beside the bed, but there should be one on the other side of the bed too. This was my first stay at a Spark by Hilton, and I'd stay again if I travel this way.

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the free coffee bar and breakfast area were neat and tidy. The hotel was very clean, up to date, and well lit. Beds and bedding were comfortable too. We were happy with our stay and will stop here again when we're passing through.

This used to be an easy, pet-friendly choice for our family, but our last few visits have been disappointing. Once, while I was taking the dogs out, a man urinated in full view of my children. Another guest and I reported it, but nothing was done. On our most recent visit, a man was drunk and behaving strangely in the same outdoor dog area. The hallways smelled strongly of marijuana, and groups were smoking weed and drinking there too. It no longer feels like a safe, well-managed place for families. I hope management acts so families can feel comfortable here again.

The room was clean and updated, but the layout and lighting were poor. The bathroom fan was extremely loud and couldn't be switched off without turning off the light, the sink was in a separate part of the room, and the AC unit was deafening. It felt like a budget hotel, perhaps a refreshed Comfort Inn, and didn't meet my usual Hilton expectations. The front desk clerk didn't acknowledge my HHonors membership and put me across from the elevator, even though the hotel was mostly empty that night. Breakfast choices were limited and not very good. I know Spark is a lower-end Hilton brand, but I was still disappointed.
