Courtyard Fort Worth West at Cityview

There are so many peaceful places to sit and relax here, and the whole hotel has a really nice vibe. Everything was clean and lovely, and the front desk staff were sweet, helpful, and accommodating. I asked for a room facing the highway. They warned me about the noise, but I said I didn’t mind, and it wasn’t as bad as people make it sound. You are by a highway, after all. I’d book here whenever I come to Ft Worth. Great job by the staff.

Update: The manager at this location got in touch with me, and the concerns were addressed and resolved. We only discovered the room window problem the next morning, just before checkout. It had roof access, was broken, and had been altered so neither latch could catch. The metal safety latch was stuck at the far end of the sill, and the outside screen had popped out on every side. It whistled all night, and we left feeling shaken about how unsafe the room was. Anyone could have gotten into our room and belongings.

I had to spend the last two nights with the room at 66 degrees and every light on because I was scared and disgusted. There were cockroaches in both rooms I stayed in, first 210 and then 408. Staff moved me after the first one and apologized, but after the second, the rest of the staff didn’t seem to care. I was so uncomfortable and still had to pay full price for the first room. They also rehung towels I’d put in the tub to be changed, even though they were dirty. I have video proof. The team said there was no manager I could speak with during my whole trip.

The bed was so worn that I could feel the springs, and sleeping on it was uncomfortable. The bathroom also needs updating, especially the shower. I’ve never been this disappointed with a Marriott before. Check-in was made worse by Nicole at the front desk. She was rude and dismissive, didn’t greet us when we arrived, and made it obvious she hated her job.
