We went to see Lady Gaga at Dickies and stayed at The Crescent in late February. Everyone we dealt with, from the valet and front desk to the lobby bar staff, was kind and extremely helpful. Since the Ft Worth Marathon would make the morning drive complicated, the concierge printed a map showing a way home through the closed streets. I’d stay here again whenever we see a concert at Dickies, and recommend it without hesitation.

The museums right across the street made the location especially good for family time, and after checkout we finished our trip with a visit to the nearby botanical garden. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and staff were consistently friendly and attentive. The luggage team even brought us extra bottled water. Breakfast was delicious, with warm, welcoming service. The atmosphere felt refined but still relaxed, and it was a very comfortable, memorable stay.

The gym and hotel are beautiful, and the valet and bar staff were friendly, but billing problems and very firm beds spoiled the stay for me. I prepaid for the room through Capital One Travel, yet at check-in the terminal showed the hotel trying to charge me the full amount again. I raised it right away, showed my documents, and the front desk said it was fixed. The next morning my card alerted me to more hotel charges. I went back, and again they said I wasn’t being charged for the room. After checkout, the charges settled at an amount that seemed far too high. I asked for a folio and saw the room cost had been included despite being told twice it wouldn’t be. I sent proof of prepayment again and was emailed that a refund had been processed. Nine days later, I still hadn’t received it, so I don’t believe I was told the truth and this is still dragging on. The beds also hurt to sleep on because they’re so firm. For those two reasons, I can’t recommend the hotel.

Our suite was very clean and well laid out, with lovely amenities, a comfortable bed, soft linens, pillows that felt new, and decent shower pressure. The bar became our evening plan instead of going out, thanks to bartender Vince and waitress Mia, who gave us such a good time. We were in town for my wife’s 40th birthday, and the team made the weekend unforgettable. Brian the valet greeted us before we’d even stopped the car and quickly brought a luggage cart. Cassius at the front desk had the warmest smile. We’d already seen departing guests thank him with handshakes and hugs, and by the end we felt the same. He remembered why we were there and answered our questions thoughtfully. Brian was always moving at a brisk pace. When we were about to call an Uber for dinner, he quickly arranged hotel transportation even though we had reservations. Momen, whose name I may have spelled wrong, drove us to and from everything we had planned. He was soft-spoken and polite, and stayed calm while driving us around downtown during a busy stock show weekend. We usually stay at another luxury hotel downtown, but after this weekend we’ll choose the Crescent. The building and location are beautiful, but what impressed us most was the staff. No one showed any displeasure in doing their job, which I’ve never seen in all my travels. Cassius, Brian, Momen, Vince, Mia, and the rest of the team earned our business. Thanks for the laughs and memories.

The stay was lovely and memorable. Cassius Clay, the bellman, manager George Daye, and concierge Marianna greeted us with flukes of champagne, and our room was nice even though we didn’t get the upgrade through our Centurion benefit. We had mentioned there were two birthdays in our group, but they weren’t acknowledged.
