Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel

Getting around was easy. The Texrail from the airport is just around the corner and costs $2 each way. The complimentary blue bus stops right out front, and the orange bus goes straight to the Stockyards for $2. The rooms were clean, roomy, and comfortable. I enjoyed the on-site restaurant's buffet breakfast and solid dinner menu, plus the morning coffee bar serving Starbucks. Every staff member I dealt with, from the front desk to Valet and housekeeping, was wonderful. The pool and jacuzzi were great, and the fitness center was spacious and fully equipped. Nothing negative to say, and I'd highly recommend it for a Fort Worth stay.

The pool and hot tub are indoors, but the pool itself wasn't heated, despite the website calling it a “heated indoor pool.” I'd been looking forward to swimming, but ended up just sitting in the hot tub. At the hotel restaurant, we were seated quickly but waited over 10 minutes before anyone took our order. The food portions didn't justify the price. I paid $36 for a 6-8oz steak and fries. The Lounge was nice, and the cleaning team were very pleasant and accommodating. The TV was unpredictable, and its streaming services didn't work. I called the front desk once, and someone came to fix it; it worked briefly before stopping again. Valet was a bust. When we needed something from the truck, they told us to go get it, then we had to wait in line to find out where it was parked. The written number was hard to read and didn't match what the attendant had told us. We were asked, “what do you want to do?”, even though we'd been told only attendants could access the truck. There were no luggage carts, so we were told to unload it ourselves in several trips. At checkout, they waited until all our luggage was outside before bringing the truck, even though they weren't busy.

I was there for a business conference and had a comfortable room to return to each day. Housekeeping freshened it up daily and left the bathroom spotless. Thanks for the good service, it made my time in Fort Worth memorable.

I loved the remodel. I've stayed here for different occasions many times, and it was ready for an uplift. The location is hard to beat, and I walked to the convention center each morning. My top-floor room in the north tower was spacious. There was construction at the law building behind the hotel that started early, and prices were higher than usual, though everything seems to cost more these days. Sneh gave me great valet service and took the car to the garage. I realized I'd left something inside, but was able to retrieve it. With storms coming, I asked for the car to be moved under the limited awning space. Caden took my keys himself and moved it before the storm the next morning, which I really appreciated. The only room issue was a slight sewer smell from the shower drain. It wasn't overwhelming, but it was there. Otherwise, I loved the remodel.
