Magnuson Hotel Framingham

The room was spacious and newly furnished, with comfortable bedding and a mattress. It was so large they could have fit a desk or small couch too. Everything felt fresh, from the paint and flooring to the clean, modern bathroom. The entrance and lobby were welcoming and up to date, and the staff were friendly. I had a great stay and would come back.

Aloft Framingham was close to plenty of places to shop and eat, which was handy. I had a large, clean, comfortable room with a king bed for the weekend. It could have used another chair to relax in and a second garbage can by the coffee maker. Aside from that, I’d gladly stay here again when I’m in the area.

We were on the second floor, which is open down to the lobby, and there was a lot of noise until midnight. The room itself was really bare bones, and the furniture was stained. The bathroom sink area was cramped too.

After a long seven-hour bus ride, I went to the lobby bar around 10:30 PM on August 10, 2025, hoping to have a cocktail by myself and unwind. I was there as part of a group trip to Boston arranged by a tour company. The bartender, an older man who looked about 55-70 and had an Eastern European accent, asked my age, marital status, and job. Then he kept saying he wanted to be with a Chinese woman and that it was his “fantasy.” He repeatedly made the conversation sexual, and I was very uncomfortable. When I was the only customer left, he asked which room I was in, whether I wanted to “invite” him, and said, “maybe you and I give a try.” I felt trapped because I hadn’t finished or paid for my drink. I went back to my room and called the front desk right away. The staff apologized but said they couldn’t do anything and suggested I talk to the manager in the morning. I’m writing this review now and will take it to the hotel manager tomorrow. I have the cocktail receipt. I don’t know the bartender’s name, but he was the only one working at the bar then. The experience was deeply embarrassing, and I felt sexually harassed. Ladies, be careful, and don’t go to this bar alone.
