Renaissance Framingham Hotel & Conference Center

The staff are why I gave this five stars. At a conference, they handled check-in, checkout, and our requests with a smile and made everything easy. There was some minor renovation work, but it barely interrupted what they needed to do. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shower took a while to get hot on the first day, then it was fine. I spent time at the lobby bar, where the bartenders were great with beer suggestions and easy conversation. There's also a Starbucks in the hotel, which is convenient, though it was closed one morning when the staff member called out. The front desk team stayed on top of things. The hotel looks like a castle, so look for that if you're lost.

Management is a joke. When I brought an issue to the employees, they talked over me, especially Lisa, and didn't try to resolve anything unless I escalated it. Even after that, my problem is still unresolved after more than a year as a loyal rewards member. The place itself isn't bad, but I wouldn't waste your time here.

Downstairs looked great, the castle-like building made a nice first impression, and check-in went smoothly. But the renovation was underway, and the halls and room clearly needed an overhaul. The bathroom, floors, window shades, and TVs all needed refreshing. I wasn't very happy with my one-day stay. I hope things improve and would like to come back afterward.

I arrived to find the hotel closed because of electrical problems. They hadn't arranged another room ahead of time, and by then everything nearby was sold out. I had to stay 30 minutes away and pay $70 each way for Ubers. They said they didn't have my contact information, even though my reservation included my Marriott number and all my details.
