Blue Bear Inn

The room had a lot of charm, and from check-in to leaving, the service was friendly. I stopped by the bar for a drink and an appetizer. It had a proper pub feel, with people swapping stories and a friendly bartender. The appetizer was so good I wished I could stay for dinner. I was in Weare, NH for a baby shower last weekend, and local friends suggested the Blue Bear Inn. Its location worked perfectly for the shower, and I also got in a day of skiing at Crotched Mountain. It was a very good year for snow.

The owners were incredibly responsive and easy to work with while I planned a bridal shower at the Blue Bear Inn. The venue was beautiful, and the staff were professional and friendly. We had great food and a lovely atmosphere. I'd highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying or booking an event.

The food was a highlight of our weekend. We had dinner for four and Sunday brunch for eight, and every plate came out hot, fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. We got to try Chef Meg’s creations, including Mushroom and Squash Ravoli, the Tavern Smash Burger, traditional breakfasts with a flair, and my favorite, the Smoked Prime Rib Benedict. The service around the Inn was casual, personal, and welcoming. My wife and I booked our last-minute trip easily through the website, and the follow-up texts were excellent. When I called from Austin Tx to arrange the family brunch, they answered right away and confirmed it. Our King Room with an ADA bath was cozy, clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and well appointed, and the hot water was always just right. We had a beautiful weekend at Blue Bear. We'll be back, and thanks to the Blue Bear family for a great stay.

We were heading north for a hike when we came across this charming bed and breakfast on a whim. It had what we wanted: cozy rooms, excellent food, and a friendly atmosphere. The owners and staff made us feel welcome and were accommodating. We'll definitely return.
