Capital Plaza Hotel

I'm waiting for a condo and staying here during a housing transition. They've worked with me on pricing and helped me have somewhere comfortable to stay. The home-like feel makes it work for people between homes as well as travelers. The top three floors are condos, which adds to that lived-in atmosphere. They've also opened their doors to people displaced by the 2025 flood, and as of January 26, a few were still staying here. The hotel has been voted Frankfort's favorite multiple years in a row. Carol and Ashley manage the place well as a team, and the front desk staff are fabulous. Alice, Lynn, Terry, and I believe Deanne (?) make you feel at home. The staff really keep the place going. Alice decorated the lobby for Halloween, and she and Terry looked out for our safety and belongings. Tip the staff, they deserve it, especially the elderly woman in the lobby who's cleaning hard every single day. The housekeeping is unbelievably thorough. I wiped the room down when I moved in because I planned to stay a while and wanted to check it, but I ended up trying to find dirt. It was spotless, including the sheets, pillows, and duvet. The bed, though, was really uncomfortable. I switched rooms and the next bed was worse, so I bought a 4-inch topper and now it's fabulous. If you have back problems like me, keep that in mind. For a shorter stay, maybe double up on twin pads under you if the mattress could bother your back. For a night or two in Frankfort, this is an affordable four-star option with an indoor pool, gym, and fabulous breakfast every morning, even Christmas Day. There's also a nice restaurant and bar with delightful wait staff and cooks. Asia in particular is wonderful, bubbly, easygoing, professional, and prompt. The cook is accommodating and talented, and I'd recommend the white chicken chili. The restaurant is open to the public for lunch daily from 11 to 3, and for dinner Wednesday through Friday from 6 to 9. Thanks for reading. Meredith
