The apartment-style room was immaculate and laid out really well. We also loved the speakeasy, which was an unexpected and really fun part of the stay. Check-in went smoothly, and the management team got back to us quickly. Parking was included right across the street, and the location was hard to beat. We toured bourbon and wineries, with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. We’ll be back and will highly recommend the St. Clair to others.

This was our third visit to the The St Clair, this time for the Witches night Out event and some nearby distillery visits. The rooms have all been spacious and comfortable, and we’ve stayed in a few different ones. The St Clair is right downtown, close to everything, with several places to eat within walking distance and most distilleries a quick drive away. Everyone at the Howser makes us feel like family. Patci always puts love into the food and drinks. We like ending the day there with a pour, swapping stories about what we found and chatting with new friends.

Frankfort was easy to explore from The St. Clair Hotel, with local sights and restaurants close by. The property has plenty of character and charm, while still feeling comfortable and modern. We were welcomed warmly, and the atmosphere made the whole stay feel special. We had a wonderful time on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a memorable, elegant stay in Frankfort.

Bartender Patti was so welcoming and accommodating. She shared what she knows about her craft, and we really enjoyed talking with her. The whole place felt calm and relaxed, with no pressure at all. We’re looking forward to staying again. The St. Clair is amazing!

The bar and speakeasy were fantastic, and we loved the food and atmosphere downstairs. The bartenders and staff there were truly wonderful. Unfortunately, the room was a very different experience, and we left deeply disappointed. We won’t be coming back. We were sharing the two-bedroom suite, Room 401, with friends. When we arrived, it smelled strongly of mold, and the windows had no screens, so we couldn’t open them for fresh air. Maintenance first said nothing could be done. After we pushed, we were moved temporarily into two separate rooms, with a promise they’d address the suite. The next day, management asked us to return our things to the suite because the temporary rooms were needed. We’d already explained that we’d be out all day and couldn’t move our belongings ourselves. When we got back that evening, our things had been moved, but the room reeked of Febreze from several plug-ins. There were also two dirty dehumidifiers running. The air fresheners gave us headaches, and the musty smell was still there. We had to empty the dehumidifiers ourselves because nobody was checking them. There were no other rooms available, so we tried to spend as little time in the suite as possible. The walls were paper thin, and we could hear street noise and alarms from other rooms as if they were in ours. Sleeping was uncomfortable. The hotel has a fun vibe and a good location, and the downstairs staff were excellent, but management didn’t take proper care of the room problems. This wasn’t the stay we’d hoped for.
