Being so close to downtown was about the only perk. My room was dingy and noisy, right by the road, and there were gaps beneath the doors where insects could get in. The sheets weren’t very clean, and there were bedbugs. There was nothing in the room, and the place overall wasn’t clean.

I stayed there for four months just to keep a roof over my kids’ heads, and I’m glad we’re now somewhere better, with fewer roaches. The place was roach infested, and no matter how much I cleaned, it still smelled. The cleaning lady didn’t clean her room either. If you didn’t clean your room or do what she said, they’d kick you out without giving you the money you were owed. It’s cheap, but honestly it should cost less. The people were rude and would use you if they could, while doing very little. Having kids there was a problem too. You had to keep them in your room and quiet, and people complained about every little thing. You could drop a penny on the floor and someone would complain. What they did to me was wrong, but it pushed us toward a better life.

I didn’t sleep at all. The neighborhood felt rough, and the room was disgusting. The floors were so dirty our feet turned black, the towels were dirty, and the bedding looked gross under a black light. Save your money and don’t stay here.

The staff seemed kind and helpful, and the prices were good, though expect to put down a $100 deposit. Some rooms had bugs while others were fine, and the ones with hot pink walls looked tacky. The place is pet friendly, but I didn’t like that the ice machine and laundry were closed from 9pm to 8am. The rooms are a bit dated. It beats days inn, but not the bluegrass. Better furniture, decorations, beds, and a fresh coat of paint would make me give it at least four stars. My complaints leave me at two.
