I booked through Booking.com, where my app showed one reservation, but the front desk had two in its system. Sorting that out took a long time. I’d also confirmed the free week of parking and shuttle before checking in, since those were major reasons I booked. Then I was told parking would be $20 per night. My room was $108 before taxes, while a week of parking would have cost $160, which made no sense. I chose not to stay, but staff still pressed me to pay a $50 cancellation fee, even after I showed them my earlier email asking about free parking. I went to the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago O'Hare instead and paid $158.46 total for one night, 8 days of parking, a free airport shuttle, and free breakfast for two. It was a big, clean hotel with a beautiful bedroom, WiFi, cable TV, and a large private fenced parking lot. Much better value and a far better experience.

My students travel a long way and stay for the week at the Best western in Franklin park, about 10 minutes from O’hare airport. They’ve all given it excellent reviews so far. The staff are friendly, and I really appreciate them making the stay more comfortable. Rooms are clean, breakfast is delicious, the price is great, and there’s an airport shuttle.

The rooms are clean and modern, the WiFi is strong, and there are plenty of choices at the complimentary breakfast. Erik at the front desk was helpful with nearby restaurant suggestions and flexible about my schedule. I’ve stayed at a lot of value hotels around O’Hare, and this one has been my best experience. Nothing to complain about.

I missed a connection in Chicago, and booking this place was easy. The building looks old, but my room was clean and nice. There’s a gas station nearby, and Chipotle and other fast food places are about a 7-minute walk away. Chicago Fashion outlets are also close, around a 10-minute car ride.

We booked a day-use room for our 8-hour layover and hoped to come in early after landing at the airport. That wasn’t possible. We asked if we could wait in the lobby until check-in at 9, and the staff member said no, we weren’t welcome before then. They were super rude. We canceled. Absolutely no-go.
