Regal Inn - Chicago O'Hare Airport

We’ve stayed at the Regal Inn four times now, and whenever my mom and I travel to different states for concerts and come to Chicago for a show, it’s the first place we think of. This visit was just as easy and simple as the others. The prices are great, the rooms are clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. It’s also easy to get to food, shopping, and event venues from there. The little thing that made my night was coming back from the show around 10:30 and finding our room tidied, with fresh towels and made beds. Housekeeping had even folded the blanket I brought from home and placed it neatly on the bed with my stuffed dog. I bring things from home for comfort when I travel, and I couldn’t believe the staff took the time to do that. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The first thing the hostess said when I checked in was “NO VISITORS.” I’ve never heard that at a hotel or motel before. The room door was dirty, and the bathroom door and wood trim were disgusting. The toilet seat was loose, the bathroom tiles were cracked, and the carpet was torn and dirty.

Don’t trust every review you read. I had a hard time getting comfortable. The A/C is controlled and wouldn’t hold the settings I wanted. The bed was bad, with a corner that sank when I sat on it, and the drawers wouldn’t stay shut. Worst of all, the towels were nasty. There was pubic hair on them, including the other towels. I’m glad I brought my own. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

We checked in late, at 10:30 on the evening of July 4th, and had booked the room for 2 days. First they put us in room #140, where we found lots of dead crawlers and mosquitoes on the floor. They moved us to room #276, but we found bed bugs there. I got huge bites all over my body that I can’t share here, and I took photos of the bugs. If I could give a negative rating, it would be -100 stars. This hotel ruined our whole trip. The motel staff acted like they knew nothing, but when I searched for more Google reviews, I found lots mentioning bed bugs, with motel staff replying with apologies. Such a horrific place.
