Silo Cookhouse was the standout for us. We ate there the first night and had perfectly cooked, well-seasoned rib-eyes, a fantastic pasta, and one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. We didn't expect cooking this good, and after that we were reluctant to try other restaurants around Asheville, thinking we'd have better food at home. We went back three more times during our short stay and had breakfast there every day. We spent five wonderful nights at the Horse Shoe Farm over Thanksgiving, a family group of six adults and two children. The Pond cottages were clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The grounds and spa are gorgeous, with lots to explore. The game room and farm animals kept the kids entertained. Everyone we met was kind and attentive and treated us like family. Bringing a three-year-old and a one-year-old to a restaurant can feel daunting, but the Silo team always made us comfortable. Brian, the manager, went above and beyond, along with the bartenders and hostesses. We can't wait to come back!

What stood out most was having the owners and managers on site, hands-on and attentive. It's clear they care about their clients and the vendors they work with. Their whole team stayed engaged throughout the event, helped us manage last-minute changes, moved furniture readily, and kept things on schedule for a wonderful evening. We're florists, hired by a lovely couple for a Wednesday wedding at The Horse Shoe Farm, and the experience was excellent from load-in through load-out. The room draping was fairly complex, but the team worked with our setup timing. They were also understanding and flexible about next-day pickup, trusting us to leave the space completely cleared of floral so they could get ready for the next event. That trust and professionalism mean a lot to vendors. We'd love to work there again and highly recommend it to couples and vendors alike. Adrienne Kort, Blossoms Creative

The food was incredible, but it was the staff and their attention to detail that really made our special evening at The Horse Shoe Farm. The igloos were amazing. Shannon took such good care of us, and Ruby, the manager, stopped by and was genuinely kind.

The Horse Shoe Farm made for a lovely anniversary getaway, beautiful and serene, with great mountain views. It's a perfect romantic escape within an hour of home. We loved walking the property and seeing the animals, and on our last morning we got to feed the horses a carrot our waitress gave us. I was also happy to find a labyrinth walk, a lovely way to include my grounding and meditation practice in the trip. We enjoyed a relaxing couples massage and a foot soak and treatment at The Stable Spa, and left feeling rejuvenated. The rooms were cute and cozy with great amenities. They even left marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate bars so we could make S'mores in the evenings over the fire pit at the on-property restaurant, Silo Cookhouse. The food and drinks at Silo Cookhouse were amazing, and the dining experience felt sophisticated. There was a piano guests could play. Make reservations if you plan to have dinner. Breakfast was included in our room price. I'm not usually a fan of communal dining, but it didn't bother me here. We were seated near other guests only once, when the dining room was busy, and ended up having a nice conversation. The hot tub was perfect for sunsets and mountain views. We didn't get to use the pool house sauna or steam room this time, but towels, water, and restrooms are provided there, and we plan to try those facilities and the pool in warmer months. We only discovered the game room after checking out, so that's on our list for next time. Looking forward to coming back.

A lovely place to get away for a few days. The views are beautiful, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the little touches were thoughtful. Great food, too, and the people working around the property and in the restaurant were lovely. I hope to visit again.
