Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee/Franklin

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Things seemed okay at first, but they claimed we’d left the room trashed even though we had cleaned up, including things we weren’t required to do. I wish I’d taken pictures. It looked to me like someone had taken trash out of the bins and bags to make it seem as if we’d left it. There were rude people around the hotel, and the pillows were dirty. Breakfast tasted like dog food, and the pool was so heavily chlorinated that my skin and eyes burned. Zero out of ten.

The rooms have been impeccable on my stays, and the staff are thoughtful, genuine, and clearly care about how your visit goes. I’ve stayed here many times over the past several years and have only had one issue. They took care of it right away, with smiles and no fuss. For under $300, it’s simply the best mid-range hotel I’ve stayed at in 30 years. I almost hesitate to write this because I don’t want the place to get more popular.

The staff have been so helpful and pleasant while we’ve been here. My husband had back surgery, so we needed to stay the night after his operation. During our short stay, everyone has been gracious and accommodating. I’m extremely thankful, and all the women who’ve been working since 2 p.m. yesterday deserve recognition for their outstanding service. Thank you!

The airport shuttle was right on time, and our driver was friendly and shared good suggestions for local food and things to do. We were in town for a wedding, and when we had to leave for an early flight, the front desk kindly packed us breakfast to take along. The staff and service were wonderful. I’d happily recommend this place.
