Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville Franklin Cool Springs

The complimentary breakfast was nice, and the people were pleasant, but the room was in rough shape. There were fingerprints and debris on the cabinets and doors, missing tile by the shower, and black mold, which I photographed. The water was only lukewarm, so showers were quick, and the bed bounced like a trampoline. We'd just stayed at another Hilton property, and this didn't meet Hilton standards. I've seen plenty of hotel rooms and read a lot of reviews, so I was surprised this place is rated so well. Hope you don't get the room we had.

Breakfast was good, and the room was clean, though dated. We also found a roach, which was disgusting. The women at check-in, one Caucasian and one Muslim, were kind and professional. The Hispanic staff member was rude and unprofessional, and shouldn't be working at the front desk. This is a basic budget hotel that needs updates and more consistent service.

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and its location worked well for us. The breakfast room felt spacious and welcoming, though parking was a little tricky and could use more signs. Our room's layout was awkward, with too much furniture around the bed making it hard to move around. The TV doesn't swivel enough to work well from the sitting area, though it does cover the bed and kitchen.

We were here for five days after the ice storm left us without power. On the second day, we spotted a bed bug crawling on the wall, so I told the manager and we were moved to another room. Orkin later inspected room 602, where we'd been staying. They found nothing else, but confirmed that the bug was a bed bug. The manager said they hadn't treated the room because no more were found. I feel it should have been treated before anyone else stayed there. Very disappointing.
