The coffee they put out every morning was great, and Bill even gave us some hand-tied flies to try. My son and I came for a short fly fishing trip, and the owners were super friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a great time and enjoyed staying here. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully this fall.

There are a few river access points nearby, which was a nice bonus for fishing. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had basic things like a TV, fridge, and microwave. The owners welcomed us warmly and said to ask if we had questions. We had a great stay, and this will be my place if I’m back in town.

The bar across from the property was incredibly helpful when I was locked out. Its staff found me a safe place to stay for the same price, and even said this wasn’t the first time they’d helped guests stranded outside the “boutique motel.” The property’s response to my review only reinforced my concerns. They replied with sarcasm and blame instead of basic courtesy. They also blamed the third-party site, but I had already spoken with them and was told the property declined the refund. I couldn’t access the room I’d paid for, yet they refused any refund or compensation for that night. I ignored the negative reviews when booking, and learned the hard way. I arrived late after travel delays and tried calling several times, then texted, but got no reply. There’s no reception desk, no staff on-site, and zero cellular signal in the area, so I was stranded outside in the dark with no way to get help. The next morning I finally got a rude text blaming me for not updating my arrival time, apparently based on a requirement in the booking conditions. Was I really at fault for there being no desk, no signal, and no one available to help after hours? If guests need to know about no reception, no signal, and a rigid check-in window, that should be shown clearly during booking instead of buried in terms and conditions people can’t access during a late-night arrival. This isn’t a hotel, it’s a glorified Airbnb with no accountability and even worse customer service. Call it a “boutique motel” if you want, but to me it’s an unwelcoming, poorly managed operation. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else. Even the bar across the street treats people better.

We stayed two nights and will definitely be back soon. My husband, daughter, and I travel a lot, and we’ve never felt so welcomed by the owners. The rooms were great, and the location was convenient.
