All Seasons Main Street Retreat

ROOM #18, two nights. The room was nice, but the sheets had stains and the floors felt sticky. It needs a more thorough cleaning. Be aware that the bathroom’s double doors are glass, so there’s no privacy, and turning on the lights can bother a sleeping partner. The AC wasn’t enough; I brought a fan, which helped, and there’s no AC in the bathroom, so it gets warm if you close the doors. The coffee maker is an old style, and there was just one packet of sweetener. A Kuerig type would be better.

The cottage was clean and nice, but the A/C wasn’t as cool as we expected. We were really looking forward to the hot tub and were disappointed that it was only lukewarm, so we didn’t get to enjoy it. The mosquitoes were terrible, so bring spray and maybe some tiki torches.

It feels secluded even though it’s just off the main street in Fredericksburg. The rooms and porch areas are nice, and the pool and hot tub are nearby. The mosquitoes were overwhelming, even though we’re used to country critters and country living, so pack repellent. The hot tub also wasn’t working properly during my visit.

Rm 19 was cute and just the right size. I liked the patio landscaping and decor, and the bed was really comfortable. The sound machine was a nice extra. We left some plastic hangers we’d bought because more than four were needed, so hopefully they stay there. It was convenient, though not really walkable, which was fine since we wanted the pool option. When we went, there were maybe two or three people there. The bathroom baseboards need a deep clean, and the freezer had a lot of ice and frost built up. I had a small issue and it took a while for them to call back, but they did respond.
