Patricia was such a friendly, helpful hostess, and this was my second stay on the property. I hope to come back again. The Sunday Haus has an upstairs loft for sleeping and a very comfortable bed. Coffee, milk, and OJ were ready in the kitchen. The pool was beautiful and clean, and there were lovely creatures roaming the grounds. At night, we could see stars and fireflies. Main street is only a few blocks away, and it's a perfect place to unwind.

We were sorry to pack up after three nights in the Sunday Haus. Check-in was easy, with the lights on when we arrived, and the peaceful grounds were a lovely place to recharge. The pool and hot tub across the driveway were clean, the lake was beautiful, and early or late walks brought fireflies and deer right outside our cabin. The cabin was adorable, with banana bread waiting for us that we ate for breakfast each day. There was a coffee station, plus milk and OJ in the fridge. Downstairs, two comfy recliners sat by the fireplace, though one wouldn't recline, and there was a small table for two in the kitchenette. The upstairs loft's king bed was very comfortable, but the mattress is quite soft. In early summer the downstairs stayed comfortable, while the loft got a little warm. The fan helped, though light pajamas are a good idea. We'd definitely come back. It's a wonderful stay.

The property is very pretty, with ponds, a hammock, a pool, and a hot tub. We chose the dog-friendly Bunkhouse, which was serviceable but didn't have much character. Our friends stayed in the charming, romantic French cottage. The location makes it easy to get around Fredericksburg with a short drive.

We enjoyed the small-farm feel and seeing the horses, goats, ducks, and other animals. The hosts were courteous, shared their insight, and served a delicious breakfast. Being just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, with a good range of wineries nearby, was a big plus. It felt like a welcome break from our exhausting daily routine and the pace of city life.

Patricia was very friendly and accommodating to our situation, and we had a comfortable bed in the Texas Sized Suite. The wildlife made the place feel like a little bit of heaven, and I liked that the hosts enjoyed seeing it with us.
