We’re coming back for our second year, and the three bathrooms are a big plus when four or five women are getting ready. The beds are very comfortable, there’s a king, two queens, and a twin on the back porch, and the place is cute, nicely furnished, and roomy enough for us. The listing photos show the small table and lack of a dining room, and we ate out anyway. It also says the house may not suit children, though I think they’d have plenty of room to play in the fenced backyard. We spent hours talking on the front porch swing and hardly saw a car. It’s on the east end of Travis, which didn’t feel like a major highway to us. Main Street is a bit of a walk, with two long blocks, but manageable if you’re in fair shape. I think the previous reviewer may have meant a different house. We love this one, and I’m glad it’ll be more available for us. Some people are just hard to please!

I expected a quiet little place, but this house sits on a very busy street that feels like a major highway. Getting to town on foot is a long walk, not really what I’d call walking distance. The porch wasn’t a quiet spot for coffee, and there’s no fence out front for kids. Inside, there’s no dining room and only three seats in the living room, none of them comfortable. Although it has three bedrooms, it didn’t feel large enough for a family using all three or for couples sharing. We found the Holiday Inn Express where we stayed the night before quieter and nicer. Fredericksburg itself is quaint and calm on most streets, but this house wasn’t. Very disappointing.

We had a great time roasting marshmallows, and the shops were an easy walk away. Really nice place to stay.
