Fredericksburg Inn & Suites

We stopped in Fredericksburg on our Florida-to-Las Vegas road trip, and it was a genuinely relaxing stay. The room was clean and spacious, and downtown was only a couple of blocks away. Ervin greeted us at the front desk and made us feel at home right away. He was friendly, professional, and efficient. I'd happily recommend the Fredericksburg Inn, and asking for Ervin would make the visit even nicer.

It's a pleasant little motel, and I wouldn't complain too much since we did enjoy staying there. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, the pool and patio were great, and breakfast came with the stay and beat typical hotel food. It's only a block or two from the main drag in Fredericksburg. There were a number of broken things around the property, though, and the AC units in both of our rooms squeaked loudly all night. The staff also seemed a bit cranky.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, about what you'd expect at a Comfort Inn or Econolodge. What makes this place worth staying at is its outdoor space. We had a great time watching the game outside with a few drinks and enjoying the pool. There's a patio with a TV, a pool with a slide, a hot tub, and a big lawn with several fire pits and seating areas. It's all top notch, and the hotel is an easy walk from Fredericksburg's main strip. I'd definitely stay again on my next trip.

I stayed at around 15 hotels on our trip down from Canada, and this was the nicest property but had the worst receptionist I've encountered. Her attitude seemed especially directed at me, and others noticed it too. She brought up this review snarkily to another paying member of our party at checkout, leaving a sour end to the trip. We had enjoyed our stay so much that we tried to extend it. The receptionist made renewing the room unpleasant, though the issue was eventually resolved. The property itself is lovely, close to everything, with tasteful, clean rooms and a great pool for active kids or a toddler. The rest of the staff were kind, helpful, and chatty, including the maintenance and landscaping crew. When they noticed the jacuzzi had no bubbles, they came out to fix it without being asked. One genuinely lovely man clearly takes pride in his work, and we had a nice conversation about the plants on the property.
