Days Inn Tamworth

The beds were so comfortable that I slept really well, and the relaxing music in the beautiful lobby was a nice touch. My husband, our two kids, and I stayed for the weekend. The pool was just right for the kids, and I enjoyed it too. Breakfast was good, with plenty of juice, coffee, and tea choices, plus lots of towels available. Thanks to the staff for making it a great stay. We’ll definitely come back.

The location made everything easy, just a few minutes from North Conway and Moultonborough, and we’ll definitely stay here again. We were there for 11 days and felt safe and comfortable from the start. It had the feel of being welcomed into someone’s home instead of just checking into a reservation. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and the whole hotel was very well maintained. Everyone on staff was warm, caring, and family oriented. You can tell they take pride in the property and really care about their guests. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We left after just 20 minutes, and they refused to refund either our stay or the duplicate pet fee. My partner and I booked online, but the property looked nothing like the website photos, and there was no balcony. The room smelled terrible. There was a hole in the bathroom wall, streaks down the wall that looked like old blood, lots of hair on the bed, broken curtains, and a big red stain on the floor. The light switches and trim had dirty handprints, there was no window screen, and the window was partly broken. We were charged the pet fee twice, and the internet didn’t work. The pool was dirty and dark, though they said it was open. A woman was smoking in the hallway when we arrived, and the picnic area was unkempt. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this one was so unclean. It’s unfortunate I can’t upload photos to back up this review.

The breakfast was great, with lots to choose from, fresh food, and service until about 10. Our renovated room was very nice. I wish it had a proper trash bin beyond the tiny one in the bathroom or the extra small one under the sink. I’ve noticed that in a lot of hotels lately. There’s no elevator to the second floor, which seemed odd, but the staff offered to help with our bags. We could hear highway noise at night, though it was manageable.
