The location couldn't have been better. We walked to dinner at Pullman and around downtown, and the parking lot was great to use. We went in and out several times, and parking was included in the price. The hotel itself was beautiful, our room was very nice, and we loved the coffee shop and boutique inside. Everyone who worked there was kind and helpful. When my daughter scratched herself, they found three different kinds of bandages for her. But our room was right above the pub, and it was VERY loud. We had to DoorDash earplugs to sleep. The bedroom faced the atrium, which disappointed us because the website photos hadn't shown that. It was parallel to the elevator too, so people could see into the room. We kept the curtains shut the whole time and felt claustrophobic. I also noticed a body odor smell on my blanket and think it hadn't been washed. We paid $676 for two nights, and it didn't feel worth that price.

They've done a lovely job remodeling this hotel, preserving its quirky character while giving it an upscale feel. It's right by the Colorado River and the historic train station, and the building has the best coffee shop in town inside. Everyone on the team I met was friendly, helpful, and engaging. My one complaint is that the doors don't insulate much, so hallway noise comes through clearly. It's a small hotel, meaning there aren't people walking the halls all night, but when someone does pass by you can hear their conversation.

Our big dog was welcomed by both the staff and other guests. People in the lobby kept giving him attention and pets, exactly as he likes, and we felt welcome too. The room was huge, clean, beautiful, and comfortable, with two king beds and what they called "historic views," which meant windows looking into the lobby. It still felt private and was pretty great. We usually don't book a hotel when we visit Glenwood Springs two or three times a year because our dog is so big. This time I-70 closed and we couldn't get home, so we needed somewhere for one night while we waited for the freeway to reopen. We were lucky to find this place. The lobby was gorgeous, warm, and comfortable, and every moment of our stay was perfect. I love this place and we'll be back!

The hotel has charm, but our experience left us highly disappointed. We had high expectations when we booked. The front desk service was below average, and the housekeeping was the worst I've experienced. In the fourth-floor room, crumbs were scattered on the floor and desk, the robes and towels were used and stained, and there were stray hairs on the toilet. We had already stayed in a second-floor room, where we could hear guests above us, including children running, suitcases rolling over the wood floor, and doors slamming. Sound carries throughout the building. We heard conversations in hallways and adjoining rooms, possibly because so much of the flooring is wood and the room doors slam easily. The towels were dirty and appeared unwashed, and the rooms had only the most basic cleaning. If you do stay, I'd choose the top floor and check every towel and robe before using it. Don't assume anything is clean. For what they charge, I'd book an Airbnb or pay less at a less prestigious hotel for the same service and better cleaning standards. The condition of the towels was so bad that I'll contact the local health department and file a formal complaint, hoping they'll inspect. Video proof was attached to my review.

I booked a mountain-view room, and spent almost my whole stay looking out the window at the amazing view. The rooms are stunning, the building is beautiful, and the staff are so kind. Wild Coffee in the lobby was such a treat too. The staff there were sweet, and I loved their coffee, matcha, and made-to-order breakfast burritos. Maxwell Anderson and Wild Coffee are both easy to recommend. I can't wait to return!
