The room was pleasant enough, the bed was comfortable, and I liked the curved loveseat, rolling ottoman, movable sofa table, and modern looking floor lamp. The coffee bar and fridge are tucked behind a little triangular cabinet, which looks nice too. But be warned about the thin walls. Every time the upstairs toilet flushed or someone showered, I heard water running right behind my head for ages. At night I had rain sounds on, which helped, but during the day it was like a fountain with big rushes of water. I've never heard so much plumbing noise in a hotel, and the bed's headboard against that wall made it worse. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling, and the shower has no door and weak water flow. Maybe that's pleasant in summer, but in winter your body gets cold while you shower. The faucet handle seems meant to look modern, but it's literally a thin stick standing straight up, like a joystick on an old game controller. It looks ugly and slapped on with no thought. If water noise bothers you, pick somewhere else or ask for a top floor room.

Noise kept me from sleeping well. I could hear toilets flushing, water running, and doors slamming through the night, so I don't know if I'd stay again unless they add some soundproofing. Otherwise, check-in was easy and friendly, the room and bathroom were very clean and nicely furnished, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower had a few scuffs, but wasn't dirty.

The accommodations were more than adequate, the hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. There were a couple of small missteps, but nothing I'd call a real negative. Nothing blew me away enough to make it five stars, though I see no reason to give it only four. This will be my only Marriott in the Longview, Texas area.

We came to Longview for Neal McCoy's concert supporting the East Texas Angel Network and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. We had breakfast at the Bistro in the lobby. It was a bit pricey, though the breakfast burritos were good. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a Longview stay.

On an epic 4,700-mile round trip from Phoenix, AZ to Orlando, FL, my boys, ages 6 and 8, traveled with me while my wife and daughter flew. We usually drove 950-plus miles a day, leaving around 0300 by choice and getting in before sunset. After decades of work and personal travel, Marriott is our default for consistency and comfort, from convenient locations and safety to cleanliness and on-site dining. The guest interactions matter too, from the first greeting to someone wishing you a great trip. Kaliegh in Bar/Dining really stood out. She connected with my boys right away, offered food suggestions, and kept the refills coming without us asking. You could see she takes pride in the job and enjoys guests. I was surprised to learn she'd only recently joined Marriott at Longview North after making a life change from a major city. Her background wasn't the typical HRM route, but her customer focused manner makes her a natural. As a Platinum Elite guest, I hope management recognizes and mentors her talent and potential. I rarely write Google reviews and usually focus on five-star stays that may help others, especially when staff interactions like Kaliegh's are a bit of a unicorn. The food was outstanding, portions generous, and value tremendous. My hungry, active boys even had leftovers and wanted to save them for later, which I can't remember happening before. Kudos to the Chef. Dinner and the engaging staff conversation were a great way to wind down after a 963-mile day, with an incredible sunset lighting up the Lobby, Reception, Bar, and Dining area. It felt like the ending of a perfect TV commercial. And “BOO” agrees too, my well-worn former bright orange TY beanie baby, photo-bombing international travel mascot for more than 25 years. Sincerely, ~IPK~, Magnus, Leo & Boo! Phoenix, AZ
