The Mast Farm Inn

Raspberry Hill cabin was clean and beautiful, with lovely furniture and decor. The barn animals across the street were a fun little extra, and it was nice to bring our dog and have a decent place to walk him. The continental breakfast was basic but fine, though a little more in that category would make the stay top notch. We'd definitely go back.

I went to The Mast Farm Inn for the hiking, but ended up loving the quiet time with a book and my own thoughts. The place sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains and mixes old-world charm with cozy luxury. The farmhouse rooms have lots of character, and the cabins are beautifully decorated. The staff make you feel like family, and the off-season prices are a steal. If you're after nature and a chance to relax, this is the spot.

We live about an hour away and had admired the Mast Farm Inn for years, so it was lovely to finally stay there. We were in Cousin Sarah, a bright room with a charming reading alcove and a large tub. The window looked out toward the cabin from the early 1800s, and the room was exceptionally clean and quiet. Breakfast wasn't served during our weekday visit, but coffee was available. The bed was so comfortable, and there was a barn across the street with horses and goats that was fun to wander through. We had a five-star time and appreciated the great communication and hospitality, along with the site's historical significance.

I sent Management this message by email and text, but never heard back. We decided to leave the Cousin Sarah suite early. We appreciate historic places and consider ourselves history buffs, but this suite was unacceptable. The mattress was the main problem. It lacked center support, felt too soft, and had us rolling toward the middle. Firmness can be a personal preference, but this mattress seemed past its useful life, almost as if a piece of foam had been laid over it to extend its life. I attached photos showing other areas needing attention. The suite needs a deep clean, more attention to detail, and fresh paint. We'd have been happy to pay more to stay in such a North Carolina landmark. We understand if this is difficult to hear and wish you and the business all the best.
