The main drawbacks were the worn, outdated carpet in our room and throughout the hotel, plus a couple of things that didn't work. The coffee maker powered on for a moment but wouldn't make coffee, and one TV remote was dead. I didn't report either issue, so the staff didn't get a chance to fix them. I just made do. We booked for a long weekend in Fredericksburg and had no major problems. Check-in was easy since I had prepaid through Booking.com. The room was fairly large, with a bathroom on the left containing the bath/shower, sink, and toilet. There was a sitting area with a dresser, TV, and single-serve coffee maker, plus a separate bedroom that could be closed off. It had a closet, another TV, and nightstands on both sides. The hot buffet breakfast was included. The location, two or three blocks from Main St., was convenient without feeling congested. The 290 bus picks up and drops off in the upper parking lot, and I always found a parking spot. I'd put this on about the same level as an older Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn.

Breakfast was nicely organized and prepared, and making your own waffles in the morning was a fun touch. We also liked the pool, set in a lovely garden, where we could cool off after a warm Texas day. Our room at Inn on Barons Creek was spacious and comfortable, a good place to relax after exploring the Texas Hill Country. The creekside setting felt peaceful and almost secluded, though Main Street was only a short walk away. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and would stay again on another Fredericksburg visit.

There is charm here, and the backyard was cozy and relaxing. The modest breakfast was a nice way to start the day, and the Christmas decorations gave everything a warm, festive feel. The location is great, but my stay at the Inn’s at Baron Creek was mixed. The room needs attention: the linens and furniture felt worn out and honestly not very clean, and the AC was loud enough to distract me at night. There may be potential here, but the rooms need a serious refresh before I'd consider returning.

For a suite at a cozy inn, you pay a little more than motel room prices, and parking and breakfast are included. The location is great, close to everything. Our room was clean and spacious, with high ceilings, a pocket door between the rooms, a microwave, and a fridge. The bathroom had a vent and heat lamp. Highly recommend!

The continental breakfast was surprisingly one of the best I've had, even though it's nothing out of the ordinary. The hotel's convenient location is close to Fredericksburg, so the dated feel didn't bother me for a stay of just a few nights. The rooms have their own charm, but could probably use a remodel. For its price range, this property is pretty much what you'd expect.
