Knights Inn - Fredericksburg

I stayed for a month, and there were a lot of roaches. A lot. It's not an amount you can ignore, but at least it was better than being outside in the cold, lol. With so many people in poor circumstances renting rooms every night, there's no reason they should have this roach problem. They bring in around 20-40k a month at the knights inn alone, so they should be able to pay to clean it. They just don't, lol.

The rooms were dirty, and the property felt unwelcoming to paying guests. People are allowed to live here, but the staff did not seem friendly or helpful. I also saw a lot of people selling illegal substances on the property. The Red Roof Inn next door was just as dirty. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The man at the front desk was really nice and even shared his incense with me. Great customer service. The hotel is older, and while there have been some upgrades, like a bowed shower rod and granite slab shower walls, the carpets could be better and the walls had damage and dirty spots. Still, for $50, I got a clean bed, clean sheets and towels, hot water, and a roof over my head. That was worth it to me.

I came back today because money is tight and I thought I’d give it another chance, but this room had roaches too. When I asked the guy if I could use his microwave to cook my food, he was extremely rude, waved his hands in the air, and told me to get out. The other day, I’d found roaches all over the bathroom and in the bed, and they refunded me right away. I went over to the Hampton Inn, where the hospitality was amazing even though I wasn’t a guest, and the Red Roof Inn was amazing as well.
