The front desk employee was really friendly, and the room was acceptable for one night, but it was run down and very dirty. After walking across it a few times, my socks were black. The furniture was heavily soiled and the room smelled old and musty. If they cleaned the rooms better and updated the furniture, I'd rate it higher.

The people who actually live there were great company and kept me laughing for two weeks. My room was awesome too, better than I expected when I checked in. I'd recommend it.

Our first night was fine. The room wasn't especially clean, but it was okay. We booked a second night because our car had trouble. When we went to check in, the receptionist accused my mother and me of having more than two guests and smoking in the room. Neither accusation was true. I don't smoke, and Mom went outside whenever she smoked. We don't know anyone here and wouldn't invite strangers into our room. We were just stopping to sleep during a 16-hour drive from Massachusetts to Georgia. He claimed the room was full of smoke and that he'd seen another person leave. When we left, there were people smoking outside our room who looked like crackheads. I wondered if he wanted extra money or had mixed up the rooms. He said we could stay for $200 despite the false accusations. I should have asked them to check the camera footage, but I was too stunned by how rude he was. After I left, he told my mom he would charge her $100. A terrible experience. We're not going back, and I definitely don't recommend it.

I booked a non-smoking room online because I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. When I arrived, it was dirty, and the smoke detector had no battery. The room smelled strongly of cleaning products, so I couldn't tell if there were traces of smoking. I had traveled all day and went to bed early. In the morning I woke with a pounding headache and trouble breathing, and then the smoke smell was obvious. The bedspread was stained, there were no tissues, and the TV didn't work, though they had warned me about the TV at check-in. I should have left right away. I was in town for work. At 6:30 a.m. I asked the front desk to move me and had already packed my belongings into the car so they could clean after checkout. The clerk said nothing could be done until checkout and told me to return in the afternoon. At 3 p.m., another clerk said I should have asked in the morning, then insisted I needed to come down right at 11, checkout time. I tried to explain I had been at work, but he talked over me, wouldn't listen, and accused me of yelling when I wasn't. He said they could move me the next day, which meant sleeping another night in the room that had made me sick. He kept interrupting and turned away. I eventually used profanity, handed over the key, and left for another hotel. The staff are rude and unhelpful, and the place felt dirty and unsafe. The owner's reply to reviews is a copy-and-paste message that feels like lip service, given all the negative feedback and no changes. I'm disputing the charge and filing a complaint with the BBB.
