Madison Inn Lodge

I checked in on Oct 24, 2025, and it was the worst place I've ever stayed. The bed cover had big rips at the end, the floor was dirty, and breakfast was a joke. There were no hangers in the closet. When I asked, the clerk or owner said customers stole them. I suggested hangers with a loop that would fit on the clothes bar, but he said those would get stolen too. There wasn't a radio with an alarm, and when I called for a wake-up call after 10 pm, nobody answered.

The motel's exterior looks well kept, but inside the beds are really hard. The shower curtain needs washing and the walls need paint. They only gave us two towels for four people.

The place had potential for a nice little stay, but our experience was horrible. I rarely write reviews, and I've never rated anywhere below five stars before, but I feel like I should warn other travelers. The floors were visibly dirty, the beds uncomfortable, and the so-called continental breakfast was a disappointment. Customer service was practically nonexistent. The only plus was that I didn't see a live roach, which tells you something about the standard. I was left wondering whether the sheets were clean, or whether sleeping fully clothed on top of the covers would be better. Unless it's a real emergency, skip this motel.

The room was clean and the service courteous. The bed was lumpy, but okay.
