We could walk easily to the shops, restaurants, and bars from this spot at the bottom of the downtown strip. The lobby and registration desk have a fun, nostalgic feel. Our second-floor room was just right, with a large bed, cool temperature, and good shower pressure. There was a pleasant seating nook outside our room where our party could gather or catch up. Parking was easy and nearby too.

We wanted to love New World Inn, and the place has potential, but some changes are needed before we'd return. The location worked well for our time in downtown Pensacola, and there was plenty of free hotel parking. Check-in was easy, and we got great suggestions for evening drinks and breakfast. The room was generally okay, though light came through the drapes, so blackout curtains would help. There wasn't an available outlet on each side of the bed, and we had to unplug things to charge our phones. The dehumidifier was noisy, but it helped with the mold smell. We unplugged it to charge one phone. The bathroom had enough space, but needed better lighting. It felt like showering in the dark, and while it seemed clean, the dimness made that hard to judge. Breakfast was fine, and the biscuit sandwiches were really good.

The staff were super and polite, and the hotel's older style felt unique and cool. The keys are actual house keys, not cards. Try the chess and checkers on the second floor, it made for a really cool stay compared with a modern hotel. Make sure you come and stay in April 2024. Evidently the property is being sold and will be torn down for a new hotel after April 2024. Don't miss your chance.

The staff were the best part of our stay at New World Inn. They went out of their way to help, including with a long intermittent stretch between staying here and on the island. They had fresh baked cookies in the lobby and a hot homemade breakfast, too. The location was perfect, and our room was comfortable and clean. We've stayed at some of the best hotels here, and we'll definitely book again when we're back in Pensacola.

We came to town for a business conference, and this was a great choice in old town pensacola. The price was good, parking was plentiful, and the location was fantastic. Our historic room had lovely details and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast snacks in the morning were a nice extra. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind. I'd highly recommend New World Inn and stay again.
