Yellow Barn Estate

The rooms, grounds, and common areas were beautiful, and the layout and location near Ithaca worked perfectly for my daughter and me. We also had a wonderful time with the other guests. I’d love to come back, and the stay itself was truly amazing. A couple of things made the last morning harder than it needed to be. We were given two different checkout times, and the owners strongly encouraged the earlier one, so we felt rushed. We were also charged twice. We did get a refund eventually, but it took a while. The confusion was explained as an issue with the Expedia reservation, though better communication and more efficient handling would have let us enjoy the stay more fully. Thank you.

The house was cozy, and the room and service were good and modern. I stayed one night for my son's graduation, when a large family had the other rooms. They were nice, but their loud conversation in the first-floor living room carried word for word to my second-floor room, so there wasn't much privacy. With an early flight, I went to bed around 11 pm and couldn't fall asleep until they finally stopped talking after midnight.

It’s a little out of the way, but if you’re in the Ithaca area, this is a great place to stay. We spent one night here while visiting family. The rooms were very well appointed, check-in and check-out were easy, and it was very quiet. I can see it working well for a family renting the whole place.

For our family reunion, we rented the whole barn, and everyone loved it. It felt like such a welcoming place for us all to get together. We’ll definitely stay again!
