After about two months, I’m updating my rating from 2 stars to 4. I switched units because of noise from upstairs and had hoped for one on the pool side. By the time I could apply, after my current unit was inspected, the one I wanted had been taken, so I chose a BART-side unit instead. I can hear the BART, but the change has still made living here more manageable. I’ve also seen better handling of package theft, including Luxer One and changes to the mail room. Thanks to Crystal, Caleb, and Sergio for making my move much smoother. I’ve lived here about 15 months. At first I really liked the apartment and recommended it to several people, which earned me a $600 referral bonus. Things changed after the management team changed. I heard similar complaints from other residents and saw the Google rating fall from around 4.2 to 3.7 at one point in Q1 2025. It seems like there have been efforts to bring it back up, but I think many of the negative reviews reflect real problems. I’ve dealt with trash management and package theft, and lately there’s been frequent construction noise during the day while I work from home. Utilities have gone up about 30% since I moved in. Several units on my floor have also moved out to nearby apartment communities, and I don’t feel the repeated issues I’ve reported in my unit were properly addressed. The maintenance team members are nice, but I ended up fixing my toilet and door lock myself because they weren’t handled in time. Management later said I hadn’t used the right reporting channel. I followed their instructions and called the designated hotline four times, but got no answer. I have screenshots of the instructions. My experience has declined a lot since the place first felt great. March, 2026; Jan, 2026
