I meant to book the Newark location and accidentally chose Fremont. The one bright spot was the woman who checked me in, she was super friendly and made me laugh. My boyfriend and I stayed Thursday through Sunday, and the room gave us the ick the whole time. It was room 144, and I wouldn’t stay there or recommend it to anyone. The hallway smelled so pungent we held our breath coming and going, since our room was only a few doors from the exit. Inside, the floor was disgusting, the walls had dried stains, scratch marks, and welts, and both the leather and fabric parts of the couch were stained and gross. We took the bed cover off to put on the couch just to sit, and wore slippers the whole time because the floor was so bad. The shower was horrible, too. On our last night the tub started filling up as we showered. We hadn’t pushed the stopper down; the tub was backing up, and I wanted to vomit. We rushed out, and once the water cleared, we saw all kinds of particles from the plumbing coming back up. On Sunday we got up and decided to shower at home. The water also dripped all night, so imagine trying to sleep if you’re a light sleeper. I paid $371 and was so disappointed. These rooms need a complete upgrade. They charge so much and the rooms aren’t even nice. I’m upset I wasted my money.

I had a stressful, disappointing check-in because the front desk woman was rude and unhelpful. I’d left my wallet at home, but I had my email confirmation and booking code. She first said she couldn’t check me in because I’d booked through a third-party site unless the company called her. I contacted them right away, and they spoke directly with her. After that call, she changed what she’d said and told their customer service agent that I still couldn’t check in. She didn’t stick to her original explanation and was very unprofessional. The whole thing caused a lot of stress and inconvenience.

Kayla is one of my favorites here. She’s always quick, polite, and helpful, and Catherine is amazing too. I always love seeing her. There’s also a younger Filipino lady whose name I’m sorry I don’t know; she’s always sweet, and I enjoy talking with her. These women are a big reason I keep coming back. The Extended Stay is affordable and treats tenants with more respect than other places I’ve stayed. I’ve had a great experience here.

We paid a reasonable rate for three nights, and I’d book here again. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Jason, the hotel general manager, welcomed us when we checked in and made sure we had what we needed throughout the stay.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and our room was clean and nice. The hotel is in a good spot, about 15 minutes from San Jose. If I’m back in Fremont, I’d stay here again.
