The smell hit us as soon as we walked in, and the room was twice as bad. We planned to sleep there just one night and leave first thing, so I checked for bed bugs, fleas, stains, and the usual things. The mattress didn’t even have a fitted sheet. I’m particular about mattresses and didn’t want to touch it while sleeping. When I asked for a refund, they said they don’t give refunds and moved us to a king room as an “upgrade.” It smelled just as bad, though at least that bed had a fitted sheet. By then I was pretty annoyed. I politely called corporate, they contacted the front desk, and we got a refund and stayed somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The pool was out of order too, though after seeing the rooms, I probably wouldn’t have used it anyway.

The room was freezing, the place had a strange smell, and the vending and ice machines didn’t work. One towel and one washcloth had brown stains, and there was no Wi-Fi even though it was advertised. While I was in bed, someone who I assume was a staff member swiped a room key and tried to come in without knocking or announcing themselves. The safety lock stopped them. This place is a joke. It’s cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for, but I won’t return. I’d rather pay three times as much to feel comfortable elsewhere.

The hotel is clean and in a safe area, right off the 53/20 split. Shopping and restaurants are about 5-10 minutes away. The bed was the worst part: it felt like sleeping on the floor, and I was waking every 30-45 minutes all night. Some lamps weren’t plugged in and weren’t near outlets. The mini fridge worked, but the microwave wasn’t plugged in or near an outlet, so I had to move it into the bathroom to find somewhere to plug it in and set it down. There was a coffee maker but no coffee packets in the room. The lobby smelled of incense, and the so-called continental breakfast was a joke: two cold cereals, juice, and maybe three hot dishes, with nowhere to sit since the counter is in the lobby. There aren’t vending machines for drinks or snacks either. I paid $55.49 including taxes and fees, and given how uncomfortable it was, I think the room was worth less. I won’t be back.

The whole hotel smells of Indian food and curry, which gets old fast. Breakfast is always cold and not good. I had no refrigerator in my room; after I asked for one, it took four days for them to bring it. This place is a total joke. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The staff were friendly, and the room was fairly clean. The hallways and room were cold, though, and the smell, strongest in the hallways, was overpowering. It seemed like cleaner or deodorizer. It wasn’t awful, just really annoying. The continental breakfast had very few choices and was lame.
