Comfort Suites French Lick

We had a really nice room with a jacuzzi for a romantic weekend, and the staff were amazing. I lost my license during the stay. A woman at the desk went out into the snowy parking lot, found it, and called us. We were able to drive back and pick it up the same day.

The room was great, the beds were comfortable, and they arranged things so we could be near the other family traveling with us. It was a good stay overall, but I was hoping to unwind in the hot tub after long days of walking around. It wasn't working, and it looked like they were either repairing it or removing it. The pool didn't seem heated enough to make swimming comfortable. I was there in early September.

After the train ride, we got back and found the sheets hadn't been changed. There were crumbs and even a used bandage. We were so tired that we asked them to bring up clean sheets. I've never had such a disgusting hotel experience. I hope they fix this, because bed bugs and a used bandage are serious issues that could put people at risk. We'd come with children under five to ride the Polar Express and stayed at the Comfort Suites. Three families had booked three different rooms. As soon as one family entered their room, they saw bed bugs on the bed. The hotel refunded that room, and that family drove all the way home after the train ride.

The hotel looks new from the outside, but the rooms don't match. They need some care, especially the bathrooms. The old caulk around the tubs should be redone, and the microwaves, mini fridges, and heater/AC units are old and loud. I saw a review claiming all the rooms had recently been renovated, but that really isn't true. A deep clean would help, too. Breakfast was horrible, not even worth trying. The coffee and apple juice were awful as well. We only had WiFi for half the stay, and staff said there was nothing they could do.
