Discovery Inn

The room was clean and comfortable, with bathrobes and slippers, fresh flowers, and tasty chocolates by the bed. The coffee bar was stocked, and the staff were accommodating. The owner even brought a knife and cutting board from her own kitchen so we could put our sandwiches together. I thought it might be a little nearer to the town’s restaurants and shops, but we had a car and didn’t mind. I’d gladly stay again.

We were in town for a half marathon, and it was great to come back, put on Netflix with the account provided in the room, and relax with food we’d picked up downtown. The Discovery Inn has a fun garden with a hot tub, picnic tables, and outdoor games, which gives it a friendly, welcoming feel. It’s in a quiet part of Friday Harbor but still walkable to restaurants, shops, and markets. Our room was lovely, everyone was friendly, and we felt at home. We’d definitely come back if we’re in Friday Harbor again. :)

A really pleasant surprise at the end of a week-long trip. We only stayed one night, but the room felt like a high-end resort, and we wished all our hotels that week had been this nice. The staff were friendly. If we’re back in Friday Harbor, we’ll stay here again.

Mel, the innkeeper, was so hospitable, and I’d recommend Discovery Inn to anyone wanting a fabulous place to stay. I just got back from two nights there and can’t say enough good things about the little place. It’s clean and conveniently located, with beautiful furnishings and extremely comfortable beds. The rooms also have Keurig coffee makers with coffee, sugar, and creamer, plus a mini fridge and microwave.
