The cabins on the water are roomy and well cared for, with a gas fireplace, lots of places to sit, a big fridge, coffee maker, dishwasher, and even an outdoor grill. The property feels secluded and private, with a bit of an upscale feel. Everything looked almost brand new and was spotlessly clean. It was so peaceful, with amazing waterfront views. I was there on a really blustery day, but Mitchell Bay stayed calm. When you arrive, it's easy to start relaxing, and you'll probably want to stay for several days. There's a small coffee bar that opens at 8 a.m., and the cinnamon rolls were delicious. I never turned on the TV because I wanted to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Nyla was wonderful from check-in through check-out. A few things: contact the property before arriving, download an offline map for the drive from the ferry, and note that the Wi-Fi was about 25 Mbps down.

Had an amazing time here, such a little PNW paradise. They provide firewood, and there are safe fire pits, BBQ grills, and a picnic area. The service was fantastic. It's a great spot for couples or families, and we'll absolutely go again.

I loved my time on the island, and this hotel made me feel like a VIP. The customer service was great. Snug Harbor on Chincoteague is a really distinctive place on the Virginia coast, set by the quiet waters facing Assateague. It has that memorable, postcard-like feel, with marsh greens, bright blues, and warm coastal sunlight all around.

The stay was beautiful, and the staff were great. We had fun kayaking and making our own fire. Cabin one was rustic with some modern touches, though its gas fireplace was broken and staff couldn't fix it while we were there. The bedrooms cool down quickly, so keep the wall heaters on.

The cabins were beautiful, clean, and well kept, and the setting was peaceful. Staff were very friendly and had lots of recommendations for places to go on the island. They also offer a great military discount. I'll definitely return.
