The hotel did let me have the late checkout I requested because I work nights, but the concierge apparently missed that note and woke me at 11 a.m. asking what was going on because I was on the checkout list. Then, on top of that, I was billed for using a washcloth to take off my makeup. The wipe they’d provided was actually used inside its package. I told them and they refused to refund the charge. That was the last straw. I added a screenshot of the Gatorade’ my friend bought, so it’s wild for them to say my claims were inaccurate. Management clearly hasn’t made training a priority. I’ve stayed at this Courtyard several times while moving to Dallas, and those visits had always been good. This time my car was left on the property temporarily while a transport company was supposed to take it to my new downtown home. The company didn’t pick it up or tell me, so management contacted me. I immediately tried to sort it out and asked several people for help. A close friend nearby went to the Courtyard to retrieve the car for me. Her phone died while she was there. Staff reportedly told her she could use a charger if she bought something. She bought an item, then was told there wasn’t a charger she could use. It felt needlessly discourteous when she was there helping a guest resolve a problem. A small kindness would have been reasonable. I was literally flying back from Doha Qatar in the middle of a war that had just broken out, and this made an already stressful experience harder than it needed to be. They were rude over a charger. I’m not looking for conflict, but I hope they take this seriously and treat future guests and the people helping them with the hospitality Marriott is known for.

On our fifth visit to the Courtyard Marriott in Frisco within a year, we were very disappointed by the front desk service. Jennifer was rude, abrupt, and unhelpful throughout. At 7:30 a.m. we asked for the room to be refreshed and were told it would be done, but when we came back at 1:30 p.m. nothing had happened. We called again, and both Jennifer and the manager on duty said someone would be there “in a few minutes.” More than an hour passed without any service. When we raised it in person, Jennifer seemed defensive instead of apologetic. The manager apologized and said they’d address it, but the front desk’s lack of professionalism and customer service left us extremely disappointed.

I stayed here twice in a row for more than a month each time, and spent a lot, so it’s unfortunate that management left such a bad impression at the end. I enjoyed the management at first, but my experience with them later was disheartening and the way I was treated was awful. There were also housekeeping problems, including hairs on my sheets a lot, and I saw one supervisor yelling at the other girls. Be sure to ask for clarification about charges and extended-stay rates. I only got half the points I was supposed to for my six-week stay. Management blamed the points line, but the points line confirmed the hotel hadn’t given me all of them. Thankfully they corrected it after I reached out, since neither the GM nor AGM at the property would fix it. Kieth at the bistro is awesome, and Angeles, Rosa, and Mari in housekeeping are fantastic. Some of the front desk staff are great too. It’s a shame to leave one star after those good experiences, but how management treated me at the end is why. Do better.

The location worked really well for us, with several good restaurants nearby, including plenty of Indian places. Our room had enough space for our family and two teenagers, and everything inside felt brand new. I just wish breakfast had been included.

At the Courtyard Mariott in Frisco Texas, Caesar at the front desk seemed so focused on his personal phone that it was hard to get his attention. I’ve been a Bonvoy member for over a decade and have spent thousands on Mariott rooms, but when I asked for two bottles of water on the second day, he said the limit was two per stay. He was rude and insolent about it. It left me feeling that my Bonvoy membership means nothing to this organization, and I’ll be reconsidering my loyalty to the brand.
