Holiday Inn Frisco by IHG

Breakfast costs extra, and it was awful. The pool and hot tub aren’t working right now, and there’s no game room. They shouldn’t advertise amenities without showing when they’re unavailable. Don’t book here. It’s absolutely not worth the price.

Most of the staff were friendly, and this could turn into a great hotel, but it still needs work. The website says the pool and hot tub are open, yet neither is. Breakfast isn’t included and costs $19 per person. For now, it’s just not there.

We reserved four nights for August 2025. When we arrived, the hotel was closed for business, with a stop-work order from the city of Frisco CO posted on the building. We took photos of the sign on the lobby doors. We’ve tried reaching the hotel several times and got no response. Our credit card company has also contacted them without hearing back. We were charged in full for a stay that could never happen. If the hotel knew it was closed, it should have shut down its reservation system or at least responded to guests who had bookings. Not recommended at all.

The location and views were wonderful, and the front desk staff we met were very nice and personable. Still, there were plenty of problems. The pool wasn’t accessible, a bad leak on the sixth floor left the hallway smelling of mildew, the restaurant didn’t exist, and the gym barely worked. Our TV was completely out, and there was a strange stain on my bedding that might have been blood. After a really long hike, we got back hoping to shower and clean up before dinner, but the fire alarm started going off. It blared for an hour and 15 minutes before being switched off. As far as we know, there was no fire, gas leak, or other problem, just a false alarm. We evacuated to be safe and stayed outside the whole time because the noise made it hard to hear our own thoughts. That put a damper on the evening.
