Charlie's Motel

I checked the bedding in two different rooms and found the same problem, the sheets hadn't been washed. When I complained, the manager didn't seem to care and gave no apology or explanation. I've been coming to this motel for decades, back when John owned it. Since the change in ownership, with Rick managing and the owner living out of state, standards have dropped badly. It's disappointing to see a reasonably priced place sink this low. If you stay, pull back the sheets and check the bedding and pillows yourself. Thanks for reading, Frequent travelers

The room was inviting, clean, and had soft beds, though things looked a little worn. I don't mind the rustic feel. Check-in was quick and friendly, even though the place looked a bit intimidating when I first pulled up. The location is peaceful, just beyond the busy main street, but still an easy walk to everything. A great spot for a solo traveler for a couple nights. I'll be back.

Charlie's Motel is still a no-frills place, but it's clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water in the shower. There's a bar attached with decent food at good prices, and John, the owner, was pleasant and fun to talk with. We've stayed here twice, including our third visit noted in the 6/26/23 update. Reviews had been mixed since the sale, but new manager Rick seems to be turning things around. The motel was clean, had lots of hot water, and remained reasonably priced. We'd recommend it and will stay again when we're back in the area.

We were relieved to find the room clean, safe, and quiet, just as the good reviews suggested. It wasn't huge, but the size was fine, and the shower had excellent hot water and a great showerhead. There's a nice bar and grill out front with a menu board; I remember seeing a chicken sandwich. We went there to check in. I'd recommend this place to friends, family, or anyone needing a rest after a long drive.
