The place felt dingy and like a major rip-off. We overpaid and would warn people away. At check-in, we found out the third-party site had charged us for a king jacuzzi room, which we'd wanted, but apparently hadn't told the front desk. We got a regular king instead. When we asked about it, the desk clerk wouldn't make eye contact, said flatly there was no solution, and wouldn't change rooms or try to make it right. There were only three other cars in an almost empty lot that night, which made her response feel especially rude. Later we found stains on the pillowcases. We brought them back and she handed us clean ones to put on the pillows ourselves, right in front of her. The odd, too-small fitted sheet popped off the corners of the king bed when we lay down, and we didn't bother going back. I'm itchy now and hope we didn't get bed bugs. I'm glad to be gone.

The hotel was quiet and peaceful, and I felt safe there. My room was clean, the shower had nice hot water, and the bed was very comfortable. The woman who checked me in was kind and helpful.

I liked how the hotel is split into three sections, which makes getting to your room easier. The breakfast area sits above the lobby, and the rooms are comfortable. It's easy enough to find, on MD 36 near I 68. The key cards were a hassle, though. From check-in through checkout I sometimes had to swipe several times to get in or out. Some of the unusual signs also made me wonder how rowdy guests get. Restaurants and gas are a bit of a drive away. Still, I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

The photos are accurate, and the place is carpeted throughout. There’s no AC in the halls, so they get hot. They also don't leave the room AC running before you arrive, and it can feel like an oven at first. It takes a few hours to cool down, but eventually does. There’s no elevator, which is fine for me, but carrying your things up 14 steps to the second floor could be difficult if you have a disability or mobility issues. The Wi-Fi is awful, constantly lagging or disconnecting. Don't book here if you need to get work done.

After driving for six hours to get there, I asked the unfriendly girl at the front desk if I could use the restroom. She said no! Please do yourself a favor and go next door to the wonderful HAMPTON. The three women at that front desk were amazing and very professional, and they let me use the restroom before I checked in.
